Lolita Blog Carnival:
Nature Themed Coordinate

With icy snow on the ground here in Arkansas, this week’s Lolita Blog Carnival theme made me long for summertime and juicy fruit.

Bag: Vivienne Westwood
Jewellery: Betsey Johnson
Cardigan and Headband: off brands

One of the challenges I face as an older Lolita is for my coordinates to be a little bit more grown-up. Even though I really like a lot of the prints and themes, many of them just feel more suitable for younger women and girls.
Another challenge in my wardrobe crafting in general is that I like several fashion styles and I like trying new ones. This means that many of my wardrobe pieces need to be versatile and be able cross over into at least one other style.
I haven’t worn Rockabilly or vintage 50’s styles but I did wonder what someone who likes them would think when faced with Lolita and how to create a coordinate that fulfills all the rules of Lolita yet might use some pieces out of their existing closet without causing a style mashup train wreck or breaking the bank.
And truthfully? Any justification for a Westwood bag is a good one. {^.~}
